Latte Art is to a Barista as what Flairing is to a Bartender. This is something that requires constant practice and months if not years to perfect, many have tried but not all have succeeded, only a few have mastered it. Here’s a few rosettas from a recent barista class. Not as good as the pros but pwede na.
To my knowledge, only the Coffee Beanery diligently practices serving lattes with art here in the Philippines. Other cafes should try to do the same. This adds a “wow factor” to the drink and at the same time shows your customers how serious you are at your craft.

gloria jean’s coffees (australian brand) do latte art… check robinson’s galleria / place manila, glorietta.. also youtube.. GJ people posts their videos..;-)
Now that you’ve mentioned it, I did see some videos of GJ baristas doing latte art in youtube
. Thanks for reminding. Do you have any idea if this was included on their training?
Thanks Grace for visiting
.
was mentioned during training (serving with latte art), but not directly taught by the trainer unlike GJ Australia, you’ll just learn on daily basis. it takes time to find out the techniques, i think if everyone on the cafe have the same interests on latte art, it’s easier to learn.
